GANG THE SAME GATE (S8x32) 3C (4C set)                                                                Milton Levy RSCDS Bk 36

1- 8       1C cross over RH & cast down to 3rd place, cross RH cast up to 2nd place, own sides

9-12      1C set advancing to partner BUT turn 1st corner 2Hs to end facing 2nd corner, 

13-16    1C dance 1/2 reel of 4 ending M b’tw’n top couple facing down & W b’tw’n bottom couple facing up.

17-20    1C set advancing to partner & turn 4th corner (position) 2H to face own 1st corner (position),

21-24    1C dance 1/2 diagonal reel with 1st corners ending in 2nd place opposite sides

25-32     3+1+2C Set +Link twice. 

(What a stunning team!)

There will be no Red Dance on 1st November, because of the AGM.  We plan to have something exciting for you on the 8th!

DANCING THE BABY (R1x72 for 4Cs) Square set                                                                                          The Musicians’ Wedding

1- 8      1+3Cs Set & Link finish facing clockwise. 1+3W foll by prtner dance clockwise outside & round side Cs & finish facing them in the middle of the set (1W facing 2W, 1M facing 2M, 3W facing 4W, 3M facing 4M)

9-16     1+2Cs & 3+4Cs dance RH across. 1+3Cs then snake chase around each other to the left to finish in each other’s positions while on bar 12, 2M+4M pull back LSh & turn their prtner LH

17-32   2+4Cs repeat bars 1-16 to finish all couples facing in.

33-40  All the W dance RH across 3 places, rotate on the spot (pulling back RSh onbar36) to face M. All set & change places LH (W finish on outside facing in, M face in)

41-48   M dance RH across 3 places, rotate on the spot (pulling back RSh). All set, turn prtner ¾ LH to finish in a square (W, on M left, M facing in, W facing out).

49-60  All dance ¾ reverse Schiehallion reel (3 pls to left) end in original pls.
61-64  All ½ turn prtner LH to finish facing in, all set .

65-72  8 Hands round & back.

THE IRISH ROVER  (R8x32)  3C (4C set)                                                                              J Cosh  22 SCDs

 1- 8   1C dance down below 3s & cast up to 2^nd place own sides, 1W dances RH across with 2C while 1M dances RH across with 3C, finishing facing 1^st corner

 9-16  1C dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 1^st corner, ½ diagonal reel with 2^nd corners & ½ turn LH in centre to face 1^st corners

17-24  1C dance reels of 3 across, giving left shoulder to 1^st corner ending in 2^nd place own sides

25-32  1C dance diagonal R&L (1M crossing down & 1W crossing up to start)

THE WATER OF LEITH  (S4x32)  4C Set           John Wilkinson  Edinburgh 90th Anniversary

 1- 8    1+3Cs SET 1+3W dance dn, casts up round 2+4M into middle facing down as 1+3M dance across, cast round 2+4W into middle & face up 1+3Cs change pls RH with ptnr into line of 4 in middle (M face down, W face up)

9-16    1+3Cs dance a reel of 4. 

17-20 1+2Cs also 3+4Cs RH across

21-24  1M, followed by 1W, casts round 2W to 2^nd place own sides, as 3M followed by 3W casts round 4W to 4^th place (2+4Cs step up 23-24)        

25-32  1+4Cs dance Espagnole.
